After a deadly battle with the demon horse Blood Trail, Cindy and Miss Kitty come across a group of kind gypsies who risk their lives to get the two mares back home. Meanwhile, Sahara's bond with the strange soldier named Orion becomes stronger as her relationship with Slayer is fractured. She and the young man receive some dreadful news that could change the course of the war, and not for the best.
